Cleaning Lady or No???

My husband and I are usually on the same page when it comes to our house. We both can't stand a messy house - and we always pick up after ourselves. Usually every Saturday morning, we spend our mornings cleaning toilets, & the floors before we gander on with our Saturday morning errands - if we have any.

However, with the latest addition to our little family, Miss Taylor - We've been tossing the idea of hiring a cleaning lady to come in maybe every two weeks to help out a bit. We both work full time jobs - and we work hard at it, so why not take some of the cleaning part off our plate. This way on Saturday mornings we don't have to worry about some of the cleaning, we can just enjoy our time with our baby girl...I say, some of the cleaning because I'm not hiring someone to do my laundry or wash our dishes. That's something we can manage throughout the week.

So here is what we are going to do first.

We are going to try to clean the bathrooms and floors during the week, so that way on the weekends we can do what we want. We've even worked out a cleaning schedule. We are going to test this for the month and see how it goes. If we find we don't like it, we are going to get a cleaning lady.

Randomness

• I really hate tomatoes, but I love ketchup - oh and salsa with tomatoes in it. Sounds weird I know, but hey, that's me. 
• I'm a germophobe. I'm constantly washing my hands and won't let no one drink after me or eat my food. I've realized this once I had Taylor. 
• It drives me absolutely nuts when my husband doesn't use conditioner in his hair. Why? Because then I have tons of extra conditioner and no shampoo!
• I'm into all things hot- hot sauce, buffalo wings (super hot) - and anything spicy!
• I can't stand when people hum. Especially when I am trying to concentrate on something.
• I subscribed to 11 magazines a month. This is a big deal for me considering I use to subscribe to 23.
• I'm currently reading three books, and haven't finished any of them. I don't plan on it either (at least I'm being honest). Oh, and I always read the last page of a book first.
• I prefer to write checks than pay my bills online.
• I have over 40 apps on my iPhone and I probably only use 3. 4 is pushing it.
• The Big Bang Theory is becoming my ultimate obsession  - It's getting up there with Friends.

I'm seriously digging this look- I love all the pop of colors throughout the pillows - and even more - putting picture frames above your bed! It's quite a nice ensemble. I really adore it. It's a shame I have a window right above my bed or I would be at the drawing board now figuring out how to pull this off.... Enjoy!

Introducing: StyledOn. Be Inspired.

I want to share with you all to a new site that I have recently been introduced too. It's so fun! It's called StyledOn - StyledOn is a social community that allows you to check out other cool fashion out on the web. You can create a user name and password to create a portfolio, which you add images and tag yourself in, and engage with other community member.  I know tons of fashion bloggers/friends that would love this. It's right up your ally! 

It's the web's premiere style social network. 

There is so much you can do with this fashion community. My favorite underneath the fashion features page is when you click on an image, you can read what the person wrote about the image - and it allows you to stay up to date on current fashion and trends. YAY! You literally can spend hours on this site. The site even has a decor features page which talks about fashion decorating your home - now that is right up my alley.

My New Years Resolution

I've had the hardest time coming up this year with a New Year Resolution. I wanted it to be something unique, and that something I know I could stick too. Yes, yes, while of course, I want to lose weight, get in better shape, and be more organized (doubt I could get any more organized) - I didn't want to make them a New Years Resolution. 

I've thought hard about my New Years Resolution - and I have decided that I want to branch more out in the kitchen. 

My New Years Resolution is to cook/bake a dish I have never cooked before - once a month - and then post the recipes to the blog for you all to see. I'm killing two birds with one stone. Plus it's always nice to branch out in the kitchen. While some of you know me on a personal level know I cook a lot, and enjoy cooking - trust me, these dishes will be tough for me.

I was going to try to do this twice a month but I know with working full time, having an infant, and with having a busy schedule, I would be setting my New Year Resolution up to fail by resorting to whats simple and easy to cook.

Black Friday

I have never been a fan of shopping on black Friday. When I was little, my mom would get me up around 6am the morning after Thanksgiving and we would go shopping at all the major department stores at the mall before noon. We would stand in line forever waiting to check out with all of the clothes we were buying and I was always really bored with the whole shopping experience. When I got older, I decided that I would never go to the stores to shop on black Friday again. I instead decided to begin shopping online on black Friday because I could still get all of the great discounts without having to fight all of the crowds. I recently changed internet providers to a company I found by searching "CLEAR internet New York City" and so far I have been really happy with it. I was able to get all of my Christmas shopping done online on black Friday and I saved a lot of money by shopping then instead of waiting until closer to Christmas. It is quite a relief to have all of that shopping done.
