My husband and I are usually on the same page when it comes to our house. We both can't stand a messy house - and we always pick up after ourselves. Usually every Saturday morning, we spend our mornings cleaning toilets, & the floors before we gander on with our Saturday morning errands - if we have any.
However, with the latest addition to our little family, Miss Taylor - We've been tossing the idea of hiring a cleaning lady to come in maybe every two weeks to help out a bit. We both work full time jobs - and we work hard at it, so why not take some of the cleaning part off our plate. This way on Saturday mornings we don't have to worry about some of the cleaning, we can just enjoy our time with our baby girl...I say, some of the cleaning because I'm not hiring someone to do my laundry or wash our dishes. That's something we can manage throughout the week.
So here is what we are going to do first.
We are going to try to clean the bathrooms and floors during the week, so that way on the weekends we can do what we want. We've even worked out a cleaning schedule. We are going to test this for the month and see how it goes. If we find we don't like it, we are going to get a cleaning lady.

I'd definetly try doing the schedule before you hired someone. Although I'm sure you are like me and after working all day, you just feel like relaxing when you get home. Good luck!!
I think hiring a cleaning lady is a great idea. For a few reasons, first, you're helping the economy by providing a job for someone, and second, that precious time you would spend cleaning is much better spent doing something with your little family :) That's why I have one.
We have a cleaning lady and she was the best thing that has happened to us in years! {Ok that's a slight exaggeration - but seriously, it's been wonderful to have that time to allocate towards other important things!} Good luck!!
