I went back after my first born, but I knew when #2 arrived, I would stay at home a little longer. I found it a personal challenge to find the beauty in the mundane and tedious aspects of existing in the wee world day after day, after day after....Ha. It's just so completely different than my Government office job. I think that is why I found it challenging enough to remain.

#3 arrived, and I am still here. but my leave will be expired in 2013 so I will have to return to work. I could cry just thinking about it.

For me, I knew I didn't want to go back. I wanted to be at home. The days at home with a newborn can get a little tedious, though it changes dramatically after they get older and can do more.

But, I also think that each family needs to decide for themselves what is the best thing for them.
